The worst for me was the dry mouth. I suffered for several years with my tongue being raw and painful from being dry. My doctor never told me there were medicines to help. One day my doctor was sick and I saw the Physicians Assistant. I told her about the problems and she immediately prescribed Pilocarpine for me. My tongue hasn't been the same since. At first I took the 5mg but later the 7.5 mg. It only lasts 3-4 hours but it helps a lot. That was 2 years ago. Last week my Rheumatologist told me there is a new medicine that lasts longer. It's called Evoxac. I've tried it for a couple of days now and I don't know if it works as well but it is suppose to last longer than the Pilocarpine. I have Sjogren’s disease.
