I am sure that I've had this since high school but have been misdiagnosed for years. (or flat out told it was all in my head!) The biggest problem for me in high school was with my saliva glands. They were constantly infected. One ENT actually prescribed meds that dried me out more. I finally went to a very well respected ENT who didn't diagnose the Sjorgrens but did put me on something that wouldn't dry out the glands. Your daughter sounds like her Sjogrens has advanced so quickly. I am so sorry that she has to deal with this at such a young age. I noticed the reply about yoga. This has become something that I will swear by also. While I'm not one of those people who can twist my body up like a pretzel I find it to really relieve the pressure and pain. Yoga concentrates on the breath which has really helped my coping. Please post again so that we can find out what solution the drs. find for her. I have two friends with Sjogrens, their not children though. Their symptoms are joint pain and body didn't produce fluids.<br> there eyes and mouth were always dry and irritated. They had mouth sores and their skin was very dry. I would defiantly keep taking her to specialist until you find out what's wrong. If this is Sjogren's its an extreme case and my friend did alot or research on the syndrome she had children and was worried they would get it.
